During the workshop, CEC staff will present proposals for future funding projects. CEC Commissioner Patty Monahan, Lead Commissioner on Transportation, may participate.
The workshop will be held remotely. The public can participate in the workshop consistent with the directions provided below and will have opportunities to provide comments. MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 - WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21. The International Zero Emission Bus Conference is the primary event for professionals who are leading the charge to electrification – equipping school, transit, and shuttle bus managers with the necessary tools to electrify their fleets.

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 28 AT 9:00AM PACIFIC. The California Energy Commission (CEC) will host a workshop to gather stakeholder feedback on potential medium- and heavy-duty (MD/HD) zero-emission vehicles infrastructure projects. The hydrogen refueling concept (item 2.a. on the agenda) includes light-duty infrastructure as well as MD/HD. During the workshop, CEC staff will present proposals for future funding projects that will increase the charging and refueling infrastructure needed to support the deployment of zero-emission MD/HD vehicle technologies within the California freight system, transit bus fleets, school bus fleets, and other transportation sectors. These investments will further the goal of a convenient and accessible network of fueling infrastructure for all fleets and operators. A quorum of commissioners may participate, but no votes will be taken.
The workshop will be held remotely, consistent with Assembly Bill (AB) 361 (Rivas, Chapter 165, Statutes of 2021) as extended by Governor Newsom’s Executive Order N-1-22 to improve and enhance public access to state agency meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic. The public can participate in the workshop consistent with the direction provided below.
