This is a beta dashboard displaying medium- and heavy-duty (MDHD) zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) hydrogen refueling and charging station development in California. The CEC appreciates the public’s input and is dedicated to developing infrastructure to help meet state and federal clean transportation goals.
Caltrans invites interested providers of medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicle charging and hydrogen fueling services to submit project concepts for consideration for nomination to the California Transportation Commission’s Trade Corridor Enhancement Program (TCEP).
Projects must meet the following criteria:
• Medium- and heavy-duty ZEV charging or hydrogen fueling services.
• Solution is aligned with California’s goals for equitably advancing ZEVs.
• Provider would otherwise be unable to apply for TCEP without the support and nomination of a public agency.
Submissions are due by July 10 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
FRIDAY, JUNE 7 AT 9:00 AM. The California Energy Commission (CEC) will host a meeting of the Advisory Committee for the Clean Transportation Program Investment Plan. The meeting will discuss proposed funding allocations included in the draft staff report version of the 2024–2025 Investment Plan Update for the Clean Transportation Program. This is a hybrid meeting consistent with Senate Bill 544 (Laird, Chapter 216, Statutes of 2023), with both a publicly accessible physical location and public access online or by phone through Zoom™. The Presiding Member of the Advisory Committee, Commissioner Patty Monahan, will attend this June 7, 2024 meeting via Zoom.
The public can participate in the meeting consistent with the attendance instructions below. The CEC aims to begin promptly at the start time posted and the end time is an estimate based on the proposed agenda. The meeting may end sooner or later than the posted end time.

This briefing, co-hosted with the Alliance for Renewable Clean Hydrogen Energy Systems (ARCHES) team, will provide more details on the proposed H2Hub and will include a feedback session for community members to ask questions, voice concerns, and share other considerations with OCED and the project team. MONDAY, OCTOBER 16 FROM 2:00PM - 4:45PM EASTERN TIME. On Friday, October 13, 2023, OCED announced the selection of seven H2Hubs across the country for award negotiations. The goal of the H2Hubs program is to help accelerate the production, processing, delivery, storage, and end-use of clean hydrogen - critical to DOE’s strategy for achieving President Biden’s goal of a 100 percent clean electrical grid by 2035 and net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. These H2Hubs represent a federal investment of $7 billion in hydrogen infrastructure and emphasize community and labor engagement; diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility; investing in the America Workforce; and the Biden Administration’s Justice40 Initiative.
