Last week, we welcomed the announcement by President Biden and Secretary Granholm of the hydrogen hubs that were selected to help accelerate the hydrogen economy in the United States. 

What began with more than 70 applicants ended with seven hubs selected to begin negotiations for $7 billion in funding. Each is focused on hydrogen production that is uniquely suited to their region and industries and sectors that will benefit from renewable, zero and low-carbon hydrogen.

A road map to the U.S. hydrogen economy highlights the need for investment, policy development and govt/private industry collaboration

Eighteen private-sector companies released a road map to a hydrogen economy in the United States, calling for nine policy and programmatic actions that are needed to develop and expand several hydrogen-related markets.

AC Transit has invested the past two decades in building the most comprehensive fuel cell electric bus demonstration program in the United States, featuring a growing fleet of zero-emission buses, on-site hydrogen production and fueling, on-site fleet maintenance and ongoing independent performance evaluation of the fuel cell bus fleet.

On this National Hydrogen Day, we’re introducing you to a few of the people who work behind the scenes, day in and day out. They, and thousands of people like them around the world, help make fuel cell electric vehicles and hydrogen stations a reality.
