TUESDAY, MARCH 28 AT 10:00AM CENTRAL TIME. As industries transition toward a net-zero economy, biomass gasification is becoming an increasingly viable option for large-scale production of low-carbon energy and fuels. SunGas Renewables, a spin-out of GTI Energy formed to commercialize the proven U-Gas® technology, is exploring decarbonization opportunities through woody biomass gasification.
Join this Tech Talk as we review how hydrogen, RNG and renewable biofuels for gasoline, diesel, SAF, and methanol (marine shipping fuel) can be created from wood and agricultural waste. We’ll discuss the technical readiness of U-GAS® to drive large-scale solutions in the energy transition. Don't miss this opportunity to discover how biofuels can accelerate us toward a low-carbon future economy today.

MONDAY, MARCH 14 - The Valley Strong Energy Institute continues the second part of its Ag/Water/Energy (AWE) Education Series on hydrogen next week. The webinar will discuss benefits of hydrogen for energy storage, the regulatory atmosphere and permitting procedures for moving and using hydrogen, engineering of hydrogen pipelines, and hydrogen blending.
The AWE Webinar Series is hosted by the Valley Strong Energy Institute, which brings together technical experts, industry leaders and policy makers to develop community education around issues and emerging technologies that affect energy and other natural resources in Kern.
Join us Tuesday, March 14, at 3 p.m. to hear the following speakers:
Nathan S. Lewis – Professor of Chemistry, Caltech
Megan Silva – Regulatory Affairs Manager, SoCalGas
Brandon Wood – Director of Laboratory for Energy Applications for the Future and Staff Scientist, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
Amado Galaviz – Project Manager, SoCalGas
