Thursday, October 15, 2020 - Thursday, October 15, 2020

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15 FROM 10:00AM- 11:00AM PDT. Hydrogen has emerged as an attractive solution to the decarbonization challenge across the West. As a versatile energy resource with characteristics similar to natural gas, hydrogen has the potential to support decarbonization across a range of end uses, particularly as long-duration energy storage in the electricity sector. To achieve ambitious near-complete economy and electricity sector decarbonization targets, hydrogen must build on existing momentum and continue to realize anticipated cost reductions. At this webinar we will hear about Western considerations for green hydrogen and two important studies examining the role green hydrogen can play to support seasonal energy storage and other multi-sector applications in the West.

Featured speakers:
Maury Galbraith
Executive Director | Western Interstate Energy Board
Alex Morris
Executive Director | California Energy Storage Alliance
Michael Ducker
Vice President, Renewable Fuels | Mitsubishi Power
Dr. Laura Nelson
Executive Director | Green Hydrogen Coalition

Wednesday, October 28, 2020 - Wednesday, October 28, 2020

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28 AT 10:00 a.m. PDT . Recent events in California demonstrate the fragility of a centralized electrical grid ill-prepared for the electrical demands of a greenhouse gas ravaged climate. Old paradigms of energy management must be discarded and reimagined, with low-and-no emission technologies that harness these low carbon fuels being central to rethinking the grid. In this webinar, we will showcase fuel cells and microgrids, and hear from the pioneers who can help usher in a carbon neutral electrical system that make rolling black outs, power safety shut offs and dirty diesel generators a relic of the past.

Join us for a 75-minute Renewable Gas 360 webinar to:

• Learn how renewable gas powered fuel cells can help foster a more resilient and reliable electric grid

• Hear how microgrid developers are harnessing fuels cells to provide stable, low carbon power to their customers

• Gain insight into the policies that local and state governments can implement to accelerate the proliferation of climate friendly microgrids powered by virtually zero emission fuel cells

Monday, September 21, 2020 - Monday, September 21, 2020

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 AT 10:00AM PT. Ricardo is hosting a webinar with California Air Resources Board (CARB) and California Hydrogen Business Council (CHBC) on Sept 21 to discuss the California Advanced Clean Truck Regulation, its impact on clean truck industry and funding opportunities availability. This is an informative precursor webinar to CARB's workshop on the next day Sept 22 regarding the regulation reporting requirements. Hope you can join.

Meeting the mandate of the California’s ACT Regulation on time could be the most discussed topic recently in the clean goods movement industry.

Understand the timeline and requirements of this regulation; identify potential challenges that truck OEMs could be facing to meet the mandate on time; its impact on OEM and Tier 1 providers’ future propulsion technology portfolio, product development cycle and commercialization plan; funding landscape and NGO support are some of the areas that this webinar will address. This is an informed precursor webinar that you must attend if you are joining the Sept 22nd CARB workshop on “Reporting Requirements For Large Entities and Fleets Under the Advanced Clean Truck Regulation”

Featured Speakers:
Rob Del Core, Assistant Vice President, Tech & Strategy, Ricardo North America
Leslie Goodbody, Engineer, Innovative Heavy Duty Strategies, California Air Resources Board
Bill Zobel, Executive Director, California Hydrogen Business Council

Friday, September 25, 2020 - Friday, September 25, 2020

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 FROM 1:00PM - 5:00PM PT. The California Energy Commission (CEC) will conduct a workshop to gather information on the assessment of funding programs for clean transportation, primarily focusing on zero emission vehicles (ZEVs). This was originally scheduled as the afternoon session of the workshop held on August 19, 2020. The session was cancelled in response to unprecedented stress to the state’s electricity grid due to a heat wave. The workshop is part of the CEC’s 2020 Integrated Energy Policy Report Update (2020 IEPR Update) proceeding. A quorum of commissioners may participate, but no votes will be taken.
