Monday, November 30, 2020 - Monday, November 30, 2020

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 30 AT 8:00AM PT. The global automotive fuel cell market size is projected to reach USD 24.81 billion by the end of 2027. California, Germany, South Korea and China are all speeding up the installation of hydrogen fueling stations. The profitability of these sites is expected to remain low for the next three to five years until there are enough cars on the road.

The push from companies such as Shell,Total, Nikola and Hyundai, which distributed its first fuel cell trucks in Switzerland this month, shows the clear potential that this technology can have for society and the fueling industry.

Join Oscar Smith Diamante, Editor-in-Chief PetrolPlaza, Executive Director, Bill Elrick and two industry leaders from Europe and the U.S. for the next episode of PetrolPlaza Talks. Find out more about the challenges and opportunities provided by the hydrogen mobility sector.

The Zoom session is free but has limited spaces. Those unable to enter will be able to watch it live on YouTube.

What is the CORE Voucher Incentive Project?
The purpose of the CORE Project is to accelerate the commercial deployment of zero-emission off-road freight technologies by providing a streamlined approach for purchasers to offset the higher cost of such technologies. CORE vouchers are available to purchasers on a first-come, first-serve basis, with increased incentives for equipment located in disadvantaged communities.

Tuesday, November 24, 2020 - Tuesday, November 24, 2020

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24 AT 9:00AM PT. Join the H2IQ Hour on November 24, 2020, at 12 p.m. ET, to learn about activities at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) to evaluate, test, and validate the integration of hydrogen production technologies and the electrical grid.

Electrolyzers, which use electricity and water to produce hydrogen, have the potential to stabilize electrical demand while producing valuable hydrogen for target end-use applications. The H2IQ hour will highlight findings from research and demonstration efforts validating how electrolyzers can support grid services. For example, electrolyzers can help minimize the demand spikes from intermittent fast charging of BEVs by providing a constant power demand, while producing valuable hydrogen. In addition, the H2IQ hour will discuss how these efforts support Departmental and EERE-wide initiatives including H2@Scale and Advanced Research on Integrated Energy Systems (ARIES).
The H2IQ Hour will include a 45-minute live presentation, followed by 15 minutes of Q&A. A recording of the H2IQ will be available on the website after the event.

Tuesday, November 17, 2020 - Tuesday, November 17, 2020

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 17 AT 5:00PM PT. Panelists from academia, industry and government will address questions surrounding the “hard to decarbonize" sectors of the economy, such as long-distance trucking, shipping, and air travel, as well as industrial manufacturing. They will discuss the scientific discoveries, technological innovation and policy needed to approach net-zero and eventually negative carbon emissions. This event is sponsored by the Resnick Sustainability Institute at Caltech.

MARCH 23-24, 2021. In Australia, we are glad to see the results of the implementation of the Australian National Hydrogen Strategy-more and more local and international companies have begun to engage in the hydrogen industry in Australia, making an industrial chain dominated by hydrogen production and supply is taking shape and gradually complementing the growing demand for hydrogen in APAC region and the whole world. To this end, we will launch the first conference Connecting Green Hydrogen APAC 2021(CGHA)about Hydrogen Supply Chain in Australia, aiming to give companies that want to engage in the hydrogen industry a platform for business exchanges and development.

In this event, we’ll focus on :

  • Predicting APAC’s hydrogen industry’s development in the future
  • Discussing the economy of hydrogen and corporate partnerships
  • Clearly Understanding the different parts of an integrated hydrogen supply chain
  • Providing corresponding solutions for existing problems of hydrogen development
